Hats eg beanies and hair bands for long hair.<\/p>\n<p>Cub and Scout introductory sessions; as above but wetsuits are not necessary<br \/>\nShoes; wet boots, daps or old trainers<br \/>\nBring a towel and spare change of clothes in case you get wet.<br \/>\n<b>Jeans, wellies, hard soled shoes and crocks are not suitable.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Buoyancy aids:<br \/>\nWe supply and fit buoyancy aids and helmets<\/p>\n<h3>RYA COURSES<\/h3>\n<p>All courses take place at the David Woodhead Centre in Bristol BS1 6XJ and run from 9am till 5pm on the advertised Saturday and Sunday. Light refreshments are available but bring your lunch.<\/p>\n<h3>GDPR<\/h3>\n<p>In providing sessions ASCSS will require to hold personal data that identifies you and the person in charge on the day; such as a name, your group, an address, an email and contact number\/s, so that it can organise and operate in a manner that will benefit both the club and yourself.<\/p>\n<p>In making a booking you are agreeing to ASCSS holding this information.<br \/>\nThe data will be held on record will only be shared with ASCSS members involved with your session. It will not be shared outside ASCSS unless it is legally required to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Under normal circumstances ASCSS does not hold young person\u2019s data. However, in the event of accident the instructor will require to extract relevant data from the permission form to complete an accident form. This information will be held safely and until the incident has been fully concluded.<\/p>\n<h3>PHOTOGRAPHS<\/h3>\n<p>Leaders may take photographs from the safety boat (if weather conditions permit it).<br \/>\nASCSS occasionally take photographs for the promotion of our section on our website, on Facebook and for training purposes. Please let us know if we may not take photographs<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"text-secondary fw-bold\">SAFETY &amp; SWIMMING<\/h3>\n<p>Buoyancy Aids will be provided and must be worn at all times on, and by, the water. In accordance with Scout Association rules, participating scouts must be able to swim at least 50 metres in light clothing and a buoyancy aid and tread water for 5 minutes. Non-swimmers may be accepted but it must be pre-arranged in order that extra precautions may be taken.<\/p>\n<p>Participants should be made aware of the information about waterborne diseases.
